Aluminium Alloy Division
SSMI is one of the largest producers of primary aluminium alloys in South India with an annual capacity of 40,000MT. SSMI caters to larger OEM's tier 1 companies and exports to leading aluminium manufacturers in China, Japan and Korea. This division produces more than 25 varieties of aluminium alloys. The facilities are established for cold refining, hot refining, degassing, filtration, inclusion correction amongst others to ensure high standards for the quality of the products. The facility includes furnaces such as hydraulic tilting skelnor, rotary, and a tilting crucible furnace. The Spectrolab M12 is utilized to further ensure quality and accurate specifications of the products. The manufacturing facility is located in Gummidipoondi, Tamil Nadu.
Metal Recycling Division
SSMI has expanded into processing and recycling of copper, aluminium, and mild steel scrap. The metal recycling division produces copper, aluminium, and mild steel scrap from electric motors, cables etc. and also produces high purity copper ingots for export. The manufacturing facility is located in Athipedu, Tamilnadu.
Auto Component Division
SSMI supplies sheet metal press parts & sub-assemblies to the leading automobile companies such as Borg Warner, TAFE, TVS group and Rane NSK. This division has got the latest state of the art mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic presses, in house tool room and quality lab to produce various critical & precision parts as per customer requirement. The manufacturing facility is located in Ambattur, Tamil Nadu.
Sheet Metal Components
SSMI is the largest manufacturer of mosquito coil stands in India. The mosquito coil stands are manufactured from tin plates and supplied to Godrej Consumer Products Ltd, which own brands such as Good Knight and Jet. The manufacturing facility is located in Pondicherry.
